Not a Tuesday, but still one for the books!

We closed the shop on Monday to take the staff out for a well-rounded Avalanche Safety Course with our friend and instructor, Heiko Stopsack, of Mt Hood Backcountry Ski & Avalanche Institute.

It was a great day to get everyone together, not only to familiarize ourselves with the latest equipment, processes and procedures used in the backcountry but also a chance to work as a team outside of the shop!

The day started off building knowledge about the terrain.

It's beautiful, but also needs to be respected and observed.

Followed by some touring and approach skills.
